Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Have a look at this thread : http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055107441

for someone looking for a new setup you could do a lot worse than one of the packages of amp and speakers - the Sony SONY HT-DDW790
would integrate well with your tv, you could buy online or get it from one of the Sony shops or Peats. If you budget runs beyond the €300 mark then there are lots of other options, but if you havae a read of that thread and have more questions, then come back here.

    aaf,

avforums is indeed a great resource, but the purpose of this forum is to try to help people locally, not to send them elsewhere.

True but, that site is THE BEST av resource I've ever come across. There are alot more av shops in the UK and therefore more opinions and advice. In fact, I'm in the process of building up a home theatre system which is costing me approx €10k in total, 85% bought in the UK. Mostly bought on the advice from those forums. We just don't have the shops or the range of equipment here in Ireland. Anyway, I would recommend an SVS SBS-01 system for all in one surround system.

I assume you know that the SVS SBS-01 is a 5.1 speaker set, so hardly all in one - at the least the op would need to buy a reciever to go with that €1200-odd worth of speakers, and if I were a newbie I'd be inclined to want to hear/see that kit in person before spending that kind of money..............

    Good luck with your system............
