definitely want some of this - Paul Robinson is worth at least 2 goals to Newcastle staight away add in to this berbatov, keane, owen, martins defoe and viduka and two somewhat suspect defenses - fill yer boots :D

    0-0 it is then!

    Mike.

Robinson isn't playing so that's -1.5 goals, but it's still a very good bet I think.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,014 ✭✭✭dotsflan

Robinson is the reason I think spurs will win this game cause robinson isn't playing because of a calf strain :D:D:D spurs might actually have a chance of keeping a clean sheet

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,327 ✭✭✭hotspur

Backing Spurs to win this game wouldn't make any sense to me, but like all Spurs fans I'm a pessimist. Still got €1k down on the over 2.5 goals bet at 1.84 so the thread wasn't a total waste :)

    Exactly.

Footballing giants playing in a weaker teams home ground usually leads to manic defending which results in plenty of corners.

I wouldn't be convinced of that to be honest. I've always associated high corner counts as resulting from aerial bombardment, which Barcelona tend not to do as they try to walk the ball through you. But I've never really thought about it in depth, so Good Luck.

I see where your coming from. We'll see what happens later.

Hopefully Messi and Henry's mazy dribbles in from the wing will keep the corner count high!

i think theres some value in 'To Keep a Clean Sheet' betting tonight.

    Liverpool 10/11
    Chelsea 8/11
    Ac Milan 5/6

    Stake £50.......Returns £302.27

Wolves got a rather lucky 2-0 win against the run of play against Charlton. I doubt Dave Jones side will be nearly as sloppy. Not sure any of tonights CL ties are attractive for a 'value' bet.

read in the racing post that benfica have played scottish opponents three times at home in europe and won all 3 games 3-0
so maybe it might be worth a small wager on a benfica 3-0 win @ 14/1:D:D:D

    My treble for tonight is
    Marseille 11/8
    Valencia 8/15
    Werder bremen 4/5
