connects to perlico but nothing else

hi all,

a laptop that connects via wifi/ethernet cable to a zyxel router supplied by perlico works fine no hassle. but when it's connected to eircom broadband...no joy.

I'll be taking a goo at it tomorrow...anything I should be looking out for? internet options->connections etc.

How do you mean "when its connected to Eircom broadband"?
Perlico are a reseller of Eircom services, so can you give us the details of what it is you are trying to do and the issues you are having.

when it's plugged into a eircom BB modem:rolleyes:

I dont own the laptop nor have a perlico connection.

Turns out it was the Vista netwok location UI

I had the same issue a while back, you have to configure the router to use eircom BB

There are a few settings to be changed

Someone more knowledgeable than me will surely tell you exactly what is to be changed
