Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Vista Business update window blank!

I'm working on a PC for a client. I'm a Vista novice at the moment.

When I try to do the windows update, the window pops up but is blank, i.e. no contents are displayed. There is no eror message.

After trying out a few other folders, it seems the same can be said for the Personalise window, and network and Sharing centre window.

I can't update windows because it goes throuh the automtuic update. Going to the website directly just tells you to do it that way and then brings up the same blank window.

I've thrawled through google but I'm not getting any saticfaction.

    Any ideas? Wrecking my head!

    thanks

    empty the cache
setup a new user in case it's the profile

hope it's not like XP where you have to manually 5 or 6 sites to trusted sites and possibly apply a patch or two manually to get it autoupdates to work :mad::mad::mad:

New user or deleting the cache didn't work.

Apparently, this problem has been going on for about 3 months according to some forums I've read.

    M$ still don't have a fix.

Is the Windows Update service running?

Yup all relevant services are running. It's a fundamental abomination. Only solution is a reinstall, but I've wiped my hands of it.
