Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Runaway mouse pointer!

On my new pooter (Vista) the mouse has developed a habit of moving across the screen without an external assistance. Any ideas? Mike.

Are you using an optical mouse on a shiny surface. This is very common.

Its optical and yes the mat is rather well used and shiny. Its also curling at the edges. Time for a new one.

for an optical mouse a matt finish is best, the cardboard on the back of a refill pad is great. Junk mail is too shiny these days :mad:

I had a similar problem in the past where my speakers were sitting beside the mouse or the mouse receiver and the speakers affected the way the mouse worked.... although if it's a new pooter then it sounds more like the surface under the mouse....
