sorry, but yeah... Not meaning to be cruel, but it looks bad. The bodykit, silly neon lights, lexus lights, etc.. get them off!! Try and get it as close to standard as possible. At a glance, that might be easier said than done (missing badges, holes in the parcel shelf...)
That car looks like it belongs to a shiny tracksuit and back-to-front baseball cap wearer, and thats exactly what any dealer or prospective buyer will think.
Plus it looks like you got nasty scuff marks on the bumpers.

All this on a Peugeot, which have crap resale to begin with. Sorry!

Yeah, the car is very personalised. You need to find someone exactly like yourself to buy it at that price. What're the chances, d'you suppose?

That's a damn fine looking Pug actually-

    Steady on guys

Car like that you will be far better off selling privately to get it's value- it's probably priced in your ad about a grand or more too high and you are dealing with a specialist market now cos of the mods.

It will cost you to get the mods reversed so i wouldn't bother- the guy who'll get a h*rn for that car will snap your hand off for the keys if you lower it to a more sensible price.

    Did you mod it yourself?

Tbh the way things are at the moment you just might sell it as quick with all the gear on it as without. I'd try selling it as it is first and then make it standard after a month or so if you can't shift it. I'd say 4.5 to 5k is what it's worth, with or without the "extras". I traded a 206 that looked as if Batmans baby brother was the previous owner recently and it sold to another boy racer in days and I had even budgeted to make it standard.

yeah sorry mate but i wouldnt expect many garages to take ur car. well NO main garages. bring it somewhere like the long mile road and u should get a price on it.

putting money into the car like that is never going to stand to it UNLESS u sell it privately. and with those type of mod's you are limiting your target audience to people aged 17-23. my mate in peugeot said they sell for about 10,500 like you hvae asked BUT remember if garages are selling them for this price, they sure as hell dont buy them for that price! wihtout the mod's expect 7k or more in a pug garage.

also ur mileage is quite strong for a 03?

but get rid of the shiznit to start with

you will have to sell the car yourself.

go to mod car shows etc.. there are kids out there who will buy it, its a bit overpriced, but the issue is your market, put it in the mod section of the car mags with photo's.

Ask for something a bit more realistic than over 10k and you might get somewhere.

    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

Some harsh but true comments out there. For the typical non-modifier, a modified car is worth (considerably) less than an unmodified car. No matter how much money / effort / love / sweat & tears went into it. A modifier might appreciate it though!

Good move. Advertise wherever you can that appeals to the scene. Take on board kindalen's suggestion

Undeserved, really- As previously posted, it could sell in days. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I wouldn't plan to get it put back to standard until you're SURE it's not going to sell in the modded market.

As modded cars go it's pretty tasteful and it's a good base car so stick €9k-ish ono, on it and forget about mainstream garages cos it's worth nothing to them-that doesn't mean it's worth nothing to the right person.

The car will appeal to boy racers but then they won't be able to afford the 10 grand the op is looking for. As it is modified it will have to be a private sale. 4000 is way too low. If the op wants to sell it then advertise it at lower price than any other 2003 equivalent advertised on CBG for example.

Agree 100% I was expecting to see a "No Fear" sticker across the windscreen when it was opening up

Your best bet would be to try and find a jungfella with like minded taste. A dealer will never give you the true value of the car as it will simply be just too hard for him to sell.

I'm not a fan of bodykits and the like but its not too bad, the front bumper is a bit off putting and the colour would not be to everyones taste but its not too badly done, it looks like it was done to a high quality, the alloys and the exhaust look nice.

its is still a 1.4 307 underneath it all though and as it has been said the modifications will actually lower the price and limit your audience, if you want to trade it in i suggest you look at garages like southside automotive and redwood motors, i know they take in modified cars and they give a decent price for them too.
My cousin recently traded in with southside automotive and he got about a grand more than his car would be actually worth but be carefull the car he got has alot of little things wrong with it, nothing major but make sure you get the car checked out by a professional as all he got was a 3 month warranty on the gearbox, nothin else

oh and get rid of those horrendous lexus lights!

I agree with junkyard, the trade in value of this car will be about 4500 to 5000 in real money terms. A dealer will want it in as cheap as possible in case it takes a while to sell it.

Best bet would be to sell privately, and look for no more than 8500/9000. Extras add no value to the car, unless you find someone who loves the extras.

i'll make a genuine offer of a mars bar and a pack of tayto but i am only making such a generous offer as this car reminds me of some good times
