Anyone ever hear anything about this, according to the News and Star Aldi had sought PP for a store at Kingsmeadow which they have just resubmitted in altered form. The original design included a car showroom, was this some sort of discount cars idea (no block exemption these days after all) or merely a 'showroom' for exisiting dealers to show thier wares for a fee?

    Mike.

I saw the planning application on the city councils website alright. I wondered what they are at as this is the third time they have applied for planning permission, when are they going to start building. In relation to the car showroom, they probably realised they would find it hard it get a tenant for it as all the dealers have move to the “motor mile” area and what dealer would want to be the loaner next to Aldi.
