Pints after 2am?

Hi guys/gals. Is there anywhere in Galway that serves alcohol after 2am? Do any of the casinos stay open that long?

Only times I've been served after 2 in Galway was in residents bars or lock-ins...

Casinos do stay open that long don't know if they serve and you would want to be in there well before 2. They don't like letting drunks in in the early morning for some reason

Best bet is to always have emergency booze in your house... that way you can have a party after the club

You might try Nimmo's, I've heard that there's late shenanigans there as it's a wine bar or something like that.

the only other alternative is that Chinese takeaway across from the Roisín. you can buy bottles of beer or wine there to takeaway, but it's pretty expensive and i think you might have to actually buy some food to be allowed to buy drink there these days, i think it's open to 3 or 4 depending on the day...

Hey anytime i've been to the Casino has been after the nightclub ie 2am or later. They give complimentary wine if you are playing. They satopen late and let you in so log as you aren't plastered. Can't remember having bought any drinks there though.

my friend got a bottle of wine there on wednesday and didnt have to buy food. the beer is expensive alright but the wine is €9 a bottle i think, although it is manky ****

That wine bar in eyre square stays open really late but being a wine bar you can only buy, yes that's right, wine.

But if they sell 7up too you're laughing, I've had some manky (white) wine in my time, but the taste can always be cured by a good big dash of 7up

your damn right .:D Many a night ive had to add a dash of 7up or sprite to my vino to make it anyways drinkable:)

I've heard red wine with coke takes the edge off too, although red isn't as bad as white down the cheaper end anyway

The cashino in the eglinton will give you a few 1/2 pints if you are playing. Usually 1 every 30 mins or more frequently if

a) They know you
b) Your not locked drunk
3) You've just remortgaged your house / sold your sister to play the last hand of cards

Course there are other places in town you can get drink after hours but those who know about them dont like dishing it out too often. I used to work in one such place..was a mini celeb amoung pub staff around town
