Well.. I wouldn't have skinning as a profession if your a warlock.

Also it is early days to be talking about your talent trees.

    I suggest:
    Herbalism
    Alchemey
    for profressions

Something like this would be preferable at your level:
    http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=IVZ0xM

    Though more like:
    http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=IZ0gc0b

Depends on your preference. You can always respec at 50 to instantly get the Felguard ;)

Your crit chance isnt high enough for improved shadowbolt to really have that huge an effect and anyways, most of your damage will not come from your shadowbolts, if any ;)

As for professions, I usually find skinning/mining is the best professions to go for, as there is rarely anything you will find useful at the early levels and if there is you can just buy it.

With a bit of patience and experience, you can make approximately 1,000 gold between level 1 and 40 from skinning and mining and selling on the AH. This will go a long way to getting your epic mount ;)

And with some cash left over you can generall power level enchanting/tailoring/alchemy quite a bit too.

You should spec affliction until 50 then switch to demonolgy until 70 before going back to affliction. Affliction really is the best leveling spec around, helping you take down mobs four or five levels above you.

Atm i can easilly take out lvl 26 gnolls. And my shadowbolt does around 100 damage. I was thinking of taking up mining as it happens. Also, how is my gear. Is it good for this level, is there anything i should be looking out for ?

    Thanks for the advice.

dont worry about gear till you hit 70, the highest gear pre tbc was replaced a few hours into my TBC campaign.

Just get what you like tbh, not so much whats quickest, the difference in timing is very short tbh, if your a good player.

If you arnt a hardcore player then get a fast tech and use that.

Generally speaking you just get build that rapes mobs fast to 50, get felguard to tank for you to 70 then decide what you want.

Dont waste time worrying about gear till your 70

and dont waste time doing professions, level up professions every ten levels, this way you gain your ten levels faster and you can spend a few hours getting your prof up

thats how me and my guild mates operate

and we always hit our level 70's in roughly 8 days playtime

TBH theres nothing wrong with mining and skinning since nowadays theres big money in both, but you might wana lvl tailoring for one of your professions, you can make some nice stuff when 70!

tailoring and mining is a good choice, at 70 you are going to be looking for the frozen shadoweave set.

    mining makes mucho goldz.

as said in other posts, affliction is awesome till 50 then make the change to demo.

gear wise [anything of the eagle] is a good choice for your lock, its a nice mix of int and stamina. Dont bother with spell damage gear until you are in your late 50's.

gear priority when leveling is: Stamina > int > spirit.

If i were you, this is the build i would use:

    http://www.wow-europe.com/en/info/basics/talents/warlock/talents.html?0502220000000000000002050300100000000000000000000000000000000000
    • basically this will give you 2 instant dots (corruption and curse of agony).
    • it gives you mana back when you kill a target while draining life
    • gives you improved life tap and drain life meaning more mana for life, and more healing done by drain life.

    your cast sequence would be:
    • curse of agony
    • corruption
    • immolate
    • life tap
    • drain life
    • drain soul

assuming you are using your voidwalker this would give you close to 0 down time while grinding and questing.

at 49 your tree should then look like this to maximise your demo tree:

    http://www.wow-europe.com/en/info/basics/talents/warlock/talents.html?0502220000000000000002050300133250101300000000000000000000000000

then at 50 i would respec to felguard:

    http://www.wow-europe.com/en/info/basics/talents/warlock/talents.html?0000000000000000000002050300133250101501351000000000000000000000

and from 50 to 70 i would go down this build:

    http://www.wow-europe.com/en/info/basics/talents/warlock/talents.html?0502020000000000000002050300133250101501351505000010000000000000

Take skinning and mining until you ding 70.
Then take a profession. There is very little point in taking a profession while you are leveling as most of the time it just sucks up your cash and the majority of the items you make are unusable for your characters level.

Or do as I do, main char skinning/mining secoindary char Enchanting/Tailoring.
My main is the sugar daddy that pays for it all.

Or just do an instance or two for great XP, cash and some nice free items.

Honeslty I don't see why you should have to spend a penny on anything bar repairs and possibly mana pots at your level seeing as you'll throw your gear away in a short while anyway. Perhaps from 40+ invest in some half decent gear if you must. Once you hit lvl 58 and go to outland you'll be bombarded with gear from doing quests so even then costs should be minimal.

For DPS talent builds copy this one, i've never played a Lock but from what i've seen it works well ::
