Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What I like is someone who looks after themselves.
    Toned but nothing too much.
As long as he looks after himself. :D

Here's one of me a while back. Not all that big looking though, my arms are considerably beefier now. ;)

Ok, just to clear this up - do any girls/women you know of like the body-building look (jay cutler etc) ? Or is it just a complete turn-off?

    http://www.ifbb-malta.com/bodybuilding_pix/sac2007.jpg

Or is more along the lines of the clean shaven average Joe with a bit of muscle and broadness about him etc ...

For me ... that body builder thing is a turn off

I don't go for skinny men, I like a man with a bit of meat on his bones - not attracted to the over muscled guys either tbh, I prefer broad shoulders & toned body. :)

You'll need to back that statement up with pictoral proof.

sorry. blubber is not attractive on either sex. women seem so much more forgiving about it though. but then i guess considering most of the women here seem to be trying to justify being overweight then they can't afford to be picky :p

Dont fully agree there. I believe the men are more forgiving about ladies carrying an extra few pounds than the other way around (well, from my experience, only) as I'm not slim and any of my men have been fit without excess weight and fairly toned! I've never had to drop my standards in men because of not being the perfect size 10/12.

I think if a woman has a few extra pounds & still maintains herself well and has confidence (ie. not a lazy slob) her large boobs and general curviness compensate by making her even more "womanly" and there's no need to be super-slim or even slim! Now obviously I'm not talking about whales either...And I'm not talking about all men, just alot of the ones I've known/know :P If a man has extra pounds he in turn begins to look more womanly(man-boobs etc) which is a huge turn-off! (to me personally anyways!) I think generally men are the more forgiving ones (in reality, not in their fantasies or what have ya....)

Oh, and I have extra weight yes, and I don't need to justify it as I'm happy and healthy and have never had to drop my standards in men or stop being picky because of my looks! (did I just justify being overweight haha! I think I may have!! Nah, I didn't really, I don't have to, I'm not saying, I'm built big, or "big-boned" and can' help it or my metabolism is slow, I just eat too much of the wrong stuff and excercise too little but i'm not uhealthy OR any less goergeous because of it)

If this was an ideal world and each and every one of us women stook rigidly to a perfect health and fitness plan and REALLY got down to that perfect size 8 or whatever we crave, there'd be very few ladies out there who are actually all-natural and have anything more than fried eggs in their bras! :P:P:P We'd all look like little boys, and that's not what real men want, all in only my on humble opinion of course :P

Then again, I'm only speaking for myself, I've a super-looking friend, gorgeous figure/body, beautiful hair, works-out, perfect even, and her partner has the look of an overweight slob....I've never seen him when he actually WASN'T eating, and I've never called to their place when he wasn't flaked out on the couch like a whale....but....she's happy, he's a nice guy who adores her, he's happy, both tremendously in love with everything about each other (although he IS somewhat insecure and scared she's not good enough for him but you'll have that....)so I suppose it's each to their own really at the end of the day isn' it?! :D

Back to the question at hand again:-

    Now, in a ideal world.....

    Phwoar!

Is someone puts that much effort in.....I assume he is compensating for something, and if he isn't short it is probably a teensie tiny willy.
    It isn't visually appealing either.

He makes a living off it, competes and gets paid well. It's not like hes putting in all that commitment just to look good its his job.

That said while I would like to be considerably bulkier from the photo I posted I would never want to be the size of some pro bodybuilders [Not that I could anyway]

Jay Cutler is pretty short for a guy but not overly short, he is 5'8.

What about these two guys so, neither of these two guys are compensating for being too short ;)

It's my own prejudice and as such a genralisation, and I was applying it to blokes you actualy meet, not 7ft professionals.

    I have to say I would take a scrawny,obese, migdet bodybuilder anyday over a Roscommon. ~Shudder~ :p

I don't like gym sculpted bodies, the Peter Andre cockroach makes me churn. I like lean natural muscles. Like the ones a guy gets from working hard ;)

Hmm stickin wit Chabal here. But peoples, we all know that what we like on screen has nowt to do with real life. Most of us fancy the arse off someone with few or none of the attributes we talk about here. Still.. nice to dream.

Just noticed there's a thread about big girls so this one is for us ladies (or gay men if you so wish!)

So how do we like our men? Puny lads? Big and bouncy? Big and FIRM/LEAN?!?

Personally, if I could pick and choose who I fall in love with, it would always be a man who works-out and is extremely lean. No floppy Man-boobs or beer bellies for me thank you very much!

In my opinion, hefty, unfit men tend to have smaller willies too - don't know why - maybe their bellies devour them!!!

how dare you! i spent years working on my beer belly. when i think of all the effort i put into getting it and now i read a message like this on boards.ie. It's disheartening.
if you can't just like me for who i am so be it:p

Hmmm, rugby ish. Sporty. Broad. Tall. Nice eyes. Nice bum. Good kisser. Gives me my space. Funny. Strong. Cheeky. Clever. Caring. Medium build- don't want a bodybuilder, a skinny guy or a big guy. Now a bit of padding is ok. Makes me laugh. Good at backrubs. Ummm a bit bossy. Outgoing.

I have to say as turn ons go it has to be in the smile...

i love a naughty cheeky smile... one that shows in the eyes...

I've been with skinny (wont go back) men, with pudgy men with lean men with body building men and with the average joe...

the best body i have come accross is an active builder...

nice toned arms, soft bum but perky, slender back, soft tummy, and ruff hands...

also a big big turn off is hair... i cant to hairy backs or too much on the chest... i will wax you in your sleep...
