my, but Sligo is becoming so cosmopolitan...

They're exploiting the idiotic laws in this country. It's Illegal to sell any hash, but any smoking paraphernalia is perfectly legal to sell. Its the first shop in Sligo to sell this stuff aside from the Record Room

Yeah they were! I actually had my kids convinced that I was a re-incarnation of Mary! They believed me for months...they were a lot younger then though!

I feel it doesn't matter what shops they bring here because we still can't find anything we want. There isn't a big selection here. We're still moving as soon as we can!

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,797 ✭✭✭bobcar61

    Are you moving aswell Mrs.T...?

I noticed the sign for the bookshop opening up in Quayside,I have a feeling it will just be a second hand bookshop with books that either no one wants or no one has ever heard of.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,085 ✭✭✭Xiney

you're right Mrs T, and you're probably right too bobcar.

    Ah well.

sure you'll be able to go to charlie brynes any time you want.I live 2 mins from it,going to be picking between books or food a lot this year...

    LOL

I did four years of biology - your average textbook (of which you will require 4 or 5 per semester) is 140 bucks of cold hard cash. (Interestingly it only takes about 40 to photocopy the library's copy - allowing you to both pass and go out drinking feed yourself)

We certainly don't plan staying here forever! We would like to move closer to a city in the south somewhere....

I reckon Sligo is the dumping ground for old stock. For example I went into a well known cut price desiger shop to find all the lovely clothes our friends seem to find. After an hour searching through everything, I found nothing. I later found out from my friend that they get their clothes from the above mentioned shop in Derry! Sigh.....

    figures.

I've only ever managed to find workout gear there, never actual clothes.

    <3 the housewares dept. though.

I did look through the house dept yesterday and I must say it is quite special - we try not to venture into these depts because we always find something we need! (or is it want)

    yeah, me too.

Like I always say, if I ever win the lottery, after buying a house and a car and a few fabulous holidays, the rest of my share will probably go in large part to: Canon, Le Creuset, and The North Face.

    le sigh.
