    Folks have to share this.

I got some tyres yesterday evening from Cahill McGetterick , just off the Galway Road on the way into Ballymote on the old Slig Ballymote Road.
He is able to do the 17"s that I normally get by close to 50euro less each. I normally have to pay between 120 for the cheapest ones and he has decent sets from 70 euro all in.
As I am in the process of selling my car I just got a set used ones with 5mm thread on them for 35 each for the NCT. But was getting prices for a mate and he was beating another place by 160euro. Nice man to deal with but you would have to call first as he works in the evenings and a day or 2 a week.

    His contact is
    *****
-No phone numbers in threads - by pm only please. fozzle

Just a note on getting tyres fitted - if you have an NCT this year, the new changes to the NCT means that a vehicle will fail if an “E” or “e” mark is not visible on the tyre. An “E” or “e” mark indicates that the tyre is certified to comply with international regulations.

Edit.. I just copped on that ye were discussing bicycle tyres!

Don't know if anyone else has discovered the glory of microwave risotto for lunch? If you have you'll know Tesco and Centra sell it for 2.65€. Well Tesco have just reduced it to €2.25 which was a bargain until Centra Collooney reduced them to €1!!!! Mighty tasty.

The relocated and refurbished Post Office in Collooney has no post box on the street, which means you can only post something when the PO is open.

It's the same thing with the new PO on Castle Street in Sligo. A bit daft, don't you think?

And much would a bottle usually set you back?

It was approximately €9.95 in most places before the promotion!

Faith shoes in the Quayside is closing down.

Good God, How is this explainable?

I asked in the PO in Collooney what was going on and she said that due to health and safety regulations, they couldn't have a post box in the new post office (!) because of the possiblity of dangerous items being put into it, and that a post box would be put up outside the pizza place (I think she means on the corner across from McKims). Trouble is, that if it's anywhere near a fast food place, post will be the last thing that's posted in it.

Good old health and safety, eh?!

Grange has a (fairly) new Post office but the postbox is attached to the outside wall.

    In Tesco they have:
    • Tesco Finest Pork Sausages 6 pack (all varieties) for buy 2 packets for 6 euro's
    • Branston Relish's 2 for 3.50

I picked this bargain up yesterday along with a packet of demi baguettes which had 4 in a bag for a EURO, and made myself a seriously tasty snack when I got home from work! I think it's a really good idea if you were having a few friends over in the good weather and wanted to feed them some good quality grub that's simple to slap together and tastes lovely for about 12 euro's (if you were to buy 2 packs of baguettes)
I'm not much of a drinker but I know they always do have a good price on Carlsberg recently so you could really go for gold in Tesco right about now!

For anyone with Hayfever. Cetireleif tablets which are the exact same as Zirtek are only €9.99 for 30tablets. I got mine in Burke's but I think they have them in most pharmacy's.

Picked this up in HMV today at €13.99: http://memory-alpha.org/wiki/Star_Trek:_Legends_of_the_Final_Frontier_Collection_%28DVD%29

Guy was convinced it was a misprice.. as they're actually selling it at a loss.

It's currently on sale on the HMV for £50 sterling (excluding delivery).

How many times does the Pound Centre in the Quayside have to move? It's moved again now to where Meloday Maker was, Inspire has moved there too.
    It's like musical shops.
