I'll not argue that at one stage Sligo was horrendous with the price of petrol/diesel, but it seems to be on par lately, all be it, it may take a month or so for it to happen

Still 143.9 per litre (last night) of unleaded on the pearse road. Even after the 1.5c in the budget

Hope the mods don't mind if I shill an event in Ballymote..

My brother is heading to Malawi for 4 months to volunteerhis skills for charity. There is an indoor car boot sale in the Coach House Hotel to try and raise some money towards the costs involved. Its is from 12 to 3.

If you are in the area please call in for a look. :)

    EDIT: Its tomorrow, Sunday

I was going to book a table but there was confusion over the dates. The paper and the posters had the 13th on them. Shame because I have so much stuff to get rid of. I hope he has another one.
    Good luck to your brother.

We went down there just before 3pm, left it too late, but got some bargains anyway.

That new Euro saver shop in Johnstons Court is doing great business, mind you their stuff is craptacular, but the sweets are dirt cheap, and ya cant go wrong buying something for €2 there and it lasting for a few weeks...

    And they have Lilt..

.. Talk about a blast from the past!

I've been addicted to Lilt last few weeks in Dublin.

Love that new shop though. Two cans for a euro or 5 for 2 euro, Lucozade and all. Love Cherry 7Up too. The white lion bars are rather tasty

Not seen it anywhere I've been shopping.

It's not a regular on shop shelves anymore... not in the past 4 - 5 years.

    Happy Christmas! :)

Are the shops open tomorrow? The calender shop in Johnson's Court in particular.

The Johnson's Court website is quite useless re Christmas/New Year opening.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,659 ✭✭✭magnumlady

As far as I know it would only be Tesco that is open tomorrow.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,158 ✭✭✭FoxyVixen

LOL peoples love for shopping never declines recession or not. Love the mad dash to buy a new calendar between Christmas and the New Year. Madness? Not at 40% discount.

Madness is Tesco are putting out their Easter Eggs on the shelves next week if what I seen going by their storeroom is anything to go by
