Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Is she a x-mas tree-climber?

My sister's last cat was. My chap usually just knocks stuff off.

I nearly forgot, I think he toppled it over at least twice last year.

Likewise, Coco has no idea that it's inappropriate to balance between the windowsill and the back of the couch while himself is trying to eat a mars bar..

She doesn't seem to mind the jacket! She wore it all day one day and she kept curling up and sleeping with it on. The hat is another story... She will sit still for a few mins wearing but after that she tries to get it off. She was going around with it around her neck facing downwards yesterday! :D:D

My 2 cats in Ireland are not so fond of dressing up though....... but they were pretty much feral as kittens whereas Pepper was brought to a rescue right after she was born so she's used to being handled and stuff

So it looks like 'Esme' isn't a girl. We're pretty sure we've spotted some boy bits since coming back from holidays and picking 'her' up from the petsitters. So 'Esme' becomes The Boy Named Sue (just in case we're wrong!!!)

But here he is out and about with me as we were putting up our tree last night. :D

Not my dog but my best friend's puppy Ollie. I was minding him over the weekend. Lovely little dog, full of love. I cried after he left!!

The other pics are of my family dog Paddy, who is completely obsessed with water. In one picture, he is swimming up in Connemara in September. He loves swimming but he likes to drink the water when he swims. He kinda gulps like a frog or a fish! :D Usually, this means that we can't bring him to the beach (which he loves) because he always forgets that he can't drink the seawater and gets really sick, so we stick him to lakes or canals or rivers.

However on this occasion, we found a beach with a freshwater stream so he had the best time ever for an hour or two. He was so excited and happy, he started this high-pitch whimpering/barking malarky and he completely forgot about us or anyone else for 15 minutes at one stage. He was just off in his own little world swimming up and down the stream crying with pure joy! I suppose it's a better spot than the Royal Canal :pac:

The next pic is of Paddy, warming up after a dip in the lake in Glendalough (Twas a bit chilly that day!)

It's a year to the day since we started the process of adopting Henry from the pound, it's been a lot of work, lots of training, lots of destroyed beds, toys, shoes, etc. But the rewards of seeing how happy he is now makes it all so worthwhile, him and Jake are best pals, he absolutely loves going for walks and games of fetch, he's learned lots of tricks, likes to sleep and is in general a clever little thing. To anyone considering adopting a dog from the pound, having gone through our second rescue I'd say go for it.
