Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Exactly one year ago we brought this little bundle of fur home to meet his big brother...

We were having a new door fitted the other day and Elly really didn't like the noise. I noticed she had gone missing and went to look for her ... took me ages!!

I was putting stuff up at Christmas and left it open while I was dragging bags around, he just hopped up the ladder after me. The next day he was moping around looking up at the trapdoor so I opened it for him and up he went again. Now he whinges to get up most days and it keeps him out of trouble too. :pac::o He's always liked being up high, some days I even see him sitting up on the chimney stack looking around him!!

Hahaha must be a melt with the ladder!!

i suppose its the same for me and my dog, when my other half is working (he works nights)
    she sleeps with me,

its now a given that she gets up beside me , which causes fights with the duvet through out the night, she can spread out so large!!!

I wake up in foetus position and she's sprawled across the bed!!

I never thought of that to be honest. I haven't noticed him coughing or wheezing at all but I'll definitely keep an eye on him if he does. He normally goes up to sleep for a few hours, then comes down and goes outside to maul anything or anyone he can find. Then back to my bed at night for more sleep beside me :D

Pipers new home for the next 3-4 wks :(

10 days ago we were out with her and Brodi and the lunatic decided to jump off a 10ft wall, hairline fracture in her elbow, she couldn't have a cast due to the position the break is in and how young she is

    Thnaks

Considering the size of her jump we really are lucky in that all that happened to her was a small hairline fracture of her elbow, could have been SOOOO much worse, when i was carrying her to the car we thought the worst, but i guess that was just shock.

It's been hard keeping her calm, Brodi has been so good, she knows something is up and has taken a step back in rough play games, like they used to do.

We bought that crate for her so she's in that a lot now, and when she's not we leave the door open, she'll often just go back into it herself.

hoping her personality doesn't change :(

She's just gone one years old...

She had her first heat (vet advised us to wait as she is a large breed - lab/bernese)
we have to wait 8 weeks after heat to get spayed..

then BAM, phantom pregnancy happened, and mastitis :(

So being spayed was put on hold until she was better,

Then randomly her second heat started...

We're running to get this done before she surprises us again with something!!

I know a mastiff who had similar heat experiences, her first few heats just ran into each other so quickly and the vet thought she had a hormone imbalance, she'd only get 2 months at best between heats. The next thing that happened was her front teeth randomly started falling out! I know weakened teeth/dental issues is a side effect in human pregnancy but I'd never heard of it in dogs, but the vet was convinced it was connected to the hormone imbalance so it was decided to take her in and spay her asap after her heat ended.

yeah the mastitis freaked me out, at like 7 months she had to worry about things like that :(
she didn't enjoy walks or eat for days :(

She wasn't mine, just one I minded from time to time, between her heats! She was still a goofy eejit afterwards, still a big puppy :)
