Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Piper is FREEEEEEEEEEEEEE

5wks after she broke her elbow, with plenty of TLC and cage rest today she went on a first proper run, and loved every minute of it, we've been taking her on a few small walks around the block (minus Bro) and today let them loose in a field, was a joy to watch, she looked so happy.

And the second is of them 30mins ago

I had a day off yesterday and myself and the boss of the house spent it walking up by the canal for 2 1/2 hours. He had a ball. I was wrecked.

We are really lucky, it's a fab spot and is kept immaculate. Plus it is quiet enough and far away off the road (with a gate to pass) so we can let Frodo off the lead which he clearly thinks is the best bit about the area.

New(ish) cat was utterly transfixed today watching me change the bedding on my bed the human-sized bed that he graciously tolerates me sleeping in for a few hours every night.

When I flipped the mattress over I thought his eyes were going to pop out of his head!

But did he lift a paw to help, of course not, lazy cat

Funnily enough ...by the time he got home the only things that were still sandy were his collar, harness & lead. The dog itself is pristine and shines like polished.

Finally got harnesses for the dachshunds that I'm 100% happy with :D
They're called hug-a-dog harnesses, specifically good for dachshunds as there is no link between the neck and the chest which means the chest pad sits far back from their front legs and therefore there is no chafing :D
Really well made, the dogs seem really comfortable in them, very happy. I think I'm going to buy more in different colours, they do loads of patterns. I got their names and my phone number printed on them, that seems to be a big thing in the U.S., that's where I ordered them from (I haven't really seen it here), which is handier than tags, especially on small dogs.

(The blurring on the photos is where my phone number is printed on the harnesses)

No way. Jeepers they don't look like how I imagined they would as itty bitty pups!

Ha they look like little mutts. 1 in that bundle is a Blue & Tan, the rest are Grizzle & Tan & their colour will lighten. They look like little sea lions

Is the blue and tan the one at the bottom middle with a pup resting on top of him?

Best of luck with the babies, Knine.

Yep that is him. On closer inspection he will have a black coat rather then dark brown. As he matures he will get grey ticking in his coat giving the blue look. The Grizzles will end up with a lovely rich colour like their mother.

Knine, could you open a thread with regular progress photos of this lot - for those of us who need a bit of cheering and just general cuteness??:D

My big dogs :D We've worked hard on their discipline since having a trainer at the house over a year ago. They now sit on their bed and wait if someone is coming in the door, they were watching my husband out the window waiting on him to come in.

Yeah, it was hard work but we kept at it and they're all very good at it now. Yep, the dachshunds stay too, in the pic they're coming in from being outside with my husband, that's why they're not on the bed with Duke and Cherie.
Thor and Loki were easier to train than Duke and Cherie but I suppose that's because they're younger. Thor, Loki and Cherie are all food motivated, whereas Duke is tennis ball motivated so you have to have your utility belt of training items at the ready :pac:
