Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Nagini when he was still in the Reptile Haven:

Crikey (named after Steve Irwin, bought four days before he died):

Jool, my first and oldest snake, laying an egg earlier this year, noticeably skinnier before the eggmass, that's because there were eggs there earlier, the eggmass passes further along her body as each egg gets laid, all the eggs behind the egg being laid move up a notch like a conveyer belt. She has slack skin because it was stretched due to the eggs:

These are my ducklings, they are a lot bigger now this was taken 5 weeks ago, but we put them in the bucket to move them down from the shed into a little safe pen with their Mom (a broody hen) till they grew up.

Yoshi has a sister called Keith who lives with her and a brother called Chairman Miaow who lives up the road.

    here's my 2 babies

Jake is the greyhound - he can be a terror, loves taking clothes off the washing line and hates being left alone - will cry if he is. when my other dog goes to the groomers he is depressed all day!! He's the most friendly dog in the world - loves company, he was abandoned and we got him from the animal sanctuary

Amber is my cocker spaniel - she's an absolute darling & lady. keeps jake in his place though!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 247 ✭✭corkimp

lol @ michelleans - that is a recent pic of her curled up on our arm chair! but here are some more of her. as you can see in the pic of me and her on the couch...she takes up more room then me!!! lol. she is a dote but occassionally tries pushing me around but all i have to do is say "no" and "down" and she knows I mean business. But boy is she spoilt rotten. We are thinking of getting a second dog to keep her company but we'll see what happens - esp since she broke the back of her kennel out!! (wish I was kidding....she ran into it so hard, the back came off and she started chewing on the wooden slats like a beaver!!!lmao)

Some really cool pets on here! :)
I love dogs but I can't have one as it would be home alone all day!!
A few months ago I was passing a bridge by my house and there were these little scumbag kids throwing a labrador over! I jumped out of the car but it was too late he had landed on loads of rubble, we got him out and I took him home to my house! He lived with us for about a week until we found him a new home! Here he is we called him Jack! He was such a cool dog I wish I could have kept him! This is him chewing my brother's flip flop!!! :D

    Davey,

I have 13 spids, all Tarantulas. I never handle mine as T's are very delicate and easy to damage. Some of mine are very narky so so handling them would probably end in me being bitten. The one in the Pic, a Mexican Red Knee (Brachypelma Smithi) is a great starter spid. They are often used by therapists in treating arachnophobia and is the species most often used in film. They are very good natured and make good handlers. You can buy them in Ireland but they are costly (€80 ish). You are better off getting them from the UK from somewhere like www.thespidershop.co.uk. You would have to wait for it to warm up a bit though before getting them sent here

T's make very little mess and eat cricks or roaches. Cricks can be bought in most pet shops but I hate them, so I breed my own roaches to feed them.

    Hope this helps you.

    Duzzie

It a bad time to ship T's from the UK. Any problems or delays and theres a good chance you'll lose your spids tp the cold. Also means the shops here are likely to charge more as there are fewer available. Spring is a better time to buy.
