Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Damaged Trax, lovely pictures! I love how the first few are of dogs looking like "Yeah, this is serious business, man. We're hardcore walkers and sniffers. Things to do and see, you know?"
And then there's Dolly all grinny like "HI YOU GUYS! LOL!!"

Looks like everyone had a great day.

They both got spayed on Friday! I was so worried about them thinking they'd rip out the stitches but they don't even seem to notice them :-)

Just wanted to say thank you for all the condolences and well wishes. Always found this forum in particular as a source of comfort a lot of the times albeit under different circumstances in the past. It's been a very difficult situation for myself and the family, and every minute or two let alone the near 2 days since, I still quite can't comprehend what has happened. For me personally, it'll take a long, long time to deal with it.

But again, just a thank you for the thanks/replies and what not left after my post.

Beautiful post Ade. If you want to post more theres a dedicated Departed Pets thread where most of us have poured our hearts out over our pets we've lost. Its very cathartic to do it so you can post stories and pics to your hearts content so you're definitely not on your own there. ;)

    Cheers Annie :)

Havent got pets myself due to where Im living but heres a few pictures of my GF's cats. Wierd animals but love them non the less.
Trix and Meow(Ginger), he was called bosco but he is VERY vocal so now he's just meow. Have little conversations with him.

    B9EF279A-1.jpg

Poor meow was found in a car engine missing half his tail. They took him in fostering but decided to keep him.
    B7300994-orig-1.jpg

Ignore me all day but as soon as I pick up my phone or laptop they nudge the phone out of my hands or sit on the laptop :D
    7022D0AE-1.jpg

Trix likes to come in and scratch the bed and walk on me while im asleep. Really pisses me off, then when you get up he goes asleep

Upload them to an image host like photobucket then put the URL for the picture inside IMG] without the spaces. With photobucket it gives you the whole code including tags.

Here's a few of our 2 at the boarding kennels in Malta awaiting us to move into a house that allows them. It's really sad visiting them and then saying goodbye everyday. They've always been with us in the house in Dublin but they can't stay with us in the current place... Moving into our new house on April 1st, one that allows dogs! I can't wait :D and I'm sure they can't wait either, they've been in boarding since the start of March :(

Finally posting up pics of my kitties!

Got them from the DSPCA as a Christmas present last year. I've had cats all my life but they were always 1 year plus when we got them so I wanted to be selfish and get kittens :D

We always wanted to get 2 so when we're out of the house they have each other for company. When we visited the shelter, they had 2 kittens, but one was already reserved. So we brought Finn home <3

    392574_2953318231322_1212399433_3683787_1447407527_n.jpg

Had an incredibly enjoyable day playing with him but in the back of my mind I was disappointed that we couldn't bring a friend home for him :(

Then to my surprise, come home from work the next day, run straight over to Finn to say hi, my OH calls me and when I turn around he has this lunatic in his arms:

    398676_2959038934336_1212399433_3686093_168403431_n.jpg

It was the other little kitten! The family who wanted him didn't take him in the end so the DSPCA phoned the OH and asked were we still interested.

So we called him Jake to partner Finn, after a certain cartoon pair :D

    381750_2966493080685_1212399433_3689482_1321977836_n.jpg

They were 10 and 12 weeks when we took them home, and the first night they were introduced they HATED each other.

But now they're about 6 months old and the best of friends, always playing and sleeping together. Here they are with Finn doing his best to defy the laws of physics and twist each half of his body 180 degrees.

    389233_3607933836303_1212399433_3981206_670058519_n.jpg

Jake is the lunatic, absolutely hyped up and energetic, Finn is more relaxed and quiet and the complement each other wonderfully.

Eh, do you have MS Office Picture manager by any chance? or are they stored online?

I threw them up on my photobucket & resized for now :)

They're stored online and on my PC but I don't have a pic editor unfortunately. Pity because I'd love one.

I've uploaded onto boards itself - which seems to work better, but I think there is a limit on how many I can have. I'll have to find a pic editor. :)

Do you not even have PAINT? It's a very basic but great for resizing I always use it... Right click image press open with and click paint..

    Hi folks,

This is my little baby Gimli, he was beaten in his former residence.... and then strayed, but, he landed well on his feet and is such a happy dog now (even though, sometimes he thinks he is a cat, as you can see from the first picture) :)

He is two in July (we guess), but, has the permenant puppy look, wouldn't you agree? :)

Also, the last one is him and his little girlfriend Naihla.

Hehe, sneaky git alright, ya know, he would come upstairs (he knows he isn't allowed) early in the morning, ya can hear his little nails tip tap off the wooden floor in our bedroom and go to either myself or the other halfs side of the bed, pick up one of our socks and hold it in his mouth and rest his head beside our face till we wake up from him breathing.... how can we kick him out of the room then? It's too cute (see below) so we let him up on the bed, seldom happens, so its like a treat :D Also, can't leave food and him unattended together, it's like Homer Simpson and Pie.... plate on table, forgot fork, go back out, come back, dinner has vanished....

Yea, I know, if I ever found the souless b*stard I would gut and skin them.... he was in such bad physical and mental shape when we got him, was 15 Kg... now he is 21/22 Kg which is perfect, but the weight was only the start of it, he was SOOOOOOOOooooo insecure, move to fast, get the broom, hoover, move a wooden chair on tiles etc. he would cry/yelp and run out of the room. Now though, he is a completely different dog. Definitely a Mammy's boy.... Also, he is getting a "little" sister after we go on holidays in may (on the shannon for a week, bringing him and his two best friend boxers) a little Rottweiler :)

    So yea, in the bed...:

I love this one..... he does this sometimes to me, and I can just imagine if he could talk, he would be saying "Sorry, your ribs seem to be in the way of my feet"
