Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Triple Booting

Okey dokey. So I have Windows Vista Business installed on my laptop (Dell Vostro 1000) And I want to install XP home and Linux Ubuntu on it as well. How do I do this? I resized my Vista partition so I have 40gb unallocated. Heres my HDD now
    • OS (C:) - 61.55GB
    • Recovery(D:) -10GB
    • Unnamed - 118MB (Can I delete this?)
    • Unallocated - 40.13GB

So how would I go about installing XP and Ubuntu? Do I just boot from CDs and install to the unallocated partition? Ideally I'd have 3 primary partitions with the 3 OS's and a logical partition for my files and whatnot.

You'd have to boot from the xp cd and then use it to create a partition in the un-allocated space. Then install xp in this partition. Do the same with linux. After you have installed xp and linux, whenever you boot the computer you'll be given the option to boot into vista, xp or linux.

Ok so I now have XP Home on and it works fine. Its just I can't get on Vista again! It boots straight to XP. I installed to the unallocated and I can still see my Vista files by accessing that partition in XP. But how can I get it to ask me what OS I want when I boot? And how do I boot to Vista? I've gone into bootmenu and clicked Hard Drive but that booted to XP.

    Thanks
