Joins until end of season 2010/11.

    Also:
Marcos Alvarez also joins the Club's coaching staff. Alvarez worked with Ramos's coaching team at Sevilla. The 36-year-old's association with the Andalusia club began in the 2005/06 season, having previously held coaching roles at Elche and Malaga.

We have requested permission from Leeds United to speak to Gus Poyet in order to invite him to join the Club to work with Ramos alongside Alvarez.

I think we have a really good manager here. It will be fascinating to see what changes he makes to the 1st team with the existing crop of players.

Shame to see him leave Sevilla but they a selling club and would ahve no issues selling his best player once they got the cash. The ramos deal to real kinda sealed this he got 20 million and bought in 4 better players, knows how to find talent.

Would imagine Kanoute Adriano or Escude will follow him to Spurs.

    Great manager for Sevilla.

Didn't Kanuate leave us to join Seville?
TBH I'd rather the defence to be shored up rather than investing in more heavy artilery up front

good article on the beeb website about the man.

seems hes as hard as nails when it comes to getting his players to perform. god knows, its about tie someone gave them all an almighty kick up the arse.

im happy for any player, including berbatov to be out of the club if they arent 110% committed.

Don't need Kanoute, he has already proved he can't do as well in the prem! Alves is another Chimbonda, good going forward (not that good in my opinion - he was subbed on Sunday). we don't need that, we need steel in midfield and defense - Keitch (think thats his name, looks great for Seville in midfield, maybe an option, Man of the match Sunday!!;)

Just glad Jol & Hughton are gone.
Hopfully Comolli will follow ASAP and let Ramos (and his people) get on with the job.
    Another new era begins.
