Tattoo-ists in Cork?

    My hubby and I are spending a week in Cork city....I'd LOVE to a get another tattoo while I'm there....can anybody recommend a tattoo artisit whithin the city center?? It would be greatly appreciated....

    My friend and I just dropped into Cork and got great tats at Tattoo Zoo. The guy at the hostel and the first bartender I talked to gave their name, and apparently they're one of the best in the city. 021 427 1243
    The artist was named Ferigal, (I think that's how you spell it) very sanitary, safe, and good lines.

    Tattoo Zoo are fairly good, but I'd have to go with Raoul in Smiling Dog (I think?) Tattoos on Oliver Plunkett St. He's a very, very talented artist.

    If you're willing to go out of the city, Karen Russell is now supposedly working in Midleton but I'm not sure where... but she's very good.

    Is she not in her own shop in Kinsale now, seven roses?
    I know she still does days down in midleton though.. It's only about a 15-20 minutes from the city and it'll be in Holy Cow that she's working.

    Rumour has it she's moving to triple x/Smiley dog..


    Tribal Inks by the Coal Quay is definitly worth checking out too, some great work comes out of there :)

    I heard that 7 roses had closed and she's relocated back to Midleton. I'll double check later... unfortunately her website has been down for a good while now... I heard this from Raoul. He also said she won't be moving to Smiling Dog :( but at least Midleton isn't too far.

    Oh right, deadly stuff. Been meaning to get onto her myself anyways, but it's a whole lot easier for me if she's in Midleton again.

    And as for other tattooists in cork then I'd say the tattoo zoo boys, tribal ink, or ross down in Midleton aswell.

    tattoo zoo is good, but my experiance with getting tattooed in there wasnt great, the tattoo is small and has noticeable mistakes, the tattooists in there wernt exactly friendly either, and charged far too much for the size of the tattoo, i go there alot of piercings and love that side of the place.

    and holy cow in midleton are **** hot! any tattoo iv seen done by the lads from holy cow has blown me away.
