When I was young, like all young fellas, I wanted to do exactly what my heros done.

My heros at the time done three things

    1) Drew silage
    2) Smoked Fags
    3) Drove Manta's

Unfortunately, so far, I have only succeeded in doing the first two of these.

I always loved the old landcruiser, but it had to be in red.

    Audi Quattro

Lol at the silage and fags BnA :)

There was a nice Nissan Sunny coupe in white with blue and red livery on it, often parked outside a garage in Deansgrange a few years ago. (Don't know if it's still there or not)
This model but not "pimped out to the max" like this one:

I love old 70's and mainly 80's cars.
    My list:

BMW E30 325i in white with BBS Alloys.

VW Golf Cabriolet Mk1/2 - My dads friend had a white one and it was like a ferrari to me.

Toyota MR2 - the angular one.

Toyota Celica from the mid 70's. A guy in my home town had one and it was the business.

Datsun 260Z - Poor mans aston martin.

    Fiat X19

    BMW 635csi

    Peugout 205 GTi 1.9.

    Ford XR3i, Escort RS Turbo

    Opel Kadett GTE

Alfa Romeo 75 Sports model in dark grey

As a child of the 70's and with an Uncle working in a Fiat dealership at the time, the Fiat 127 Sport or 128 3P were the coolest thing on 4 wheels

I can smell the exhaust fumes now.

The Datsun 120Y in a weird mustard yellow was a fantastic head turner.

They were complete rust buckets the wings fell off.

I always wanted one but alas never got to drive one.

I had a Vauxhall Chevette hatchback Metallic Silver over Metallic Blue, which looked a lot like an Opel Mantra when viewed from the front.
Great car and as big as a double bed in the back when you folded down the back seat.

Does anyone remember an English show called Cats or Cats Eyes or something like that?

It was like some form of British Charlies Angels and had tasty women, one of whom may have been Lesley Ash, solving crimes?

They all drove round in Mark3 Escorts. I think the normal girls had an XR3i each and the boss woman had an RS2000.

The Escorts were so good. Does anyone remember the spoilers on those XR3is? They were massive, although not in height. Really flat and made out of a rubber.

My parent's had one of those throughout the 90's, a 1986 Jap-import Starlet (white aswell). It was a load of scrap. Everything that could have went wrong with it, did go wrong. Drank petrol and burnt oil at a ridiculous rate (and it didn't even have that much mileage on it).

It got stolen in the end, and when it was recovered, there was actually more petrol in the tank than when it was taken! :D
