why do some things just NOT make sense?

Why is it that even when you're careful to not tie up the wires of your headphones and put them carefully in your bag, the next time you take them out you spend an hour de-tangling them? Like how the hell do they get so knotted up?

I dunno. I guess life is just full of stupid little irritations like that.

For example: I go into an offo and ask for 12 cans of 'x' from the girl behind the counter. She comes back with 2 sixers the second of which is missing two cans from its plastic binder 'o'. ie

x x x       x o o

Upon plonking them on the counter the girl then had to actually count them with her fingers before realising there was only 10 there. Who are these people?

OP, before you put it in your bag wrap your headphones around the middle of your mp3 player (ie like a belt around the waist of your player). That should solve your tangle problems. Even better for someone who keeps them in their pocket.

And another thing, why are the ads on TV3 on a much higher volume than the program? It's the same on Paramount Comedy channel, you're happily watching SATC and then the ad suddenly comes on really loud and frightens the ****e out of you.

Ads are on higher than the tv programme to grab the attention of the user and possibly because people will lower the volume on a channel when they know ads are coming up, so this is done by the broadcaster to compensate.

Why can't you just figure these things out yourself?

On some of the newer T.V.'s now theres an option to compensate for that.

The wire thing is pretty much God's way of ****ing with us. It's the same thing that HMV only discount the albums you already have but will never discount the one you don't have.
