Woke up to find these guys mowing the lawn for me this morning.

DSPCA should be out today to sort them out. They seem reasonable well cared for but a little jittery.

    Shetlands.
We found a big bird thing in ours one Christmas. Something youd only see in a zoo. It stayed in the estate for about a week and Then disappeared -probably someones christmas dinner. None of the organistations that look after birds or wildlife would take it so everyone on our road just feed it bread.
It was some type of African bird - about the size of a farm turkey. It had spots on it - cant rememebr its name.

Are they shetlands or miniature horses? They look a little small to be true shetlands IMO.

Second poster, was the bird thing a guinea fowl by any chance?

My neighbour who keeps polo ponies reckons they are Shetlands alright. I bow to his knowledge, they're all jsut hosses to me. What I know about horses could fit on a small postage stamp.

ROFL, are there fields or a yard nearby where they could have escaped from?. Since its a Bank holiday, also a Monday riding schools tend to be closed so animals would be turned out. They may have escaped or some fool may have let them out or damaged fencing.
