The ads for the Dublin matches at Cwoke Paahk.

If "those real Dubs" Jedward are your sales pitch, you are scraping some very deep barrel indeed.

Hate hearing them advertising this too. I can't imagine many of the hardened GAA fans finding much appeal in that pair.

My new "turn off the radio" ad is for Fay's Chinese restaurant. It's the "music" thing in the background that does it.

Also, that ad about chase the monkey dot com (I think that's it), the people singing in it clearly couldn't have less enthusiasm for it. Like the "it's f**king great" ad, it also has a totally unnecessary bleeped "s**t". Is it a rule that Nova ads need to have censored swearing in them?

Harvey Norman ads rule! Speaking of insistant Aussies, that campaign for some brand of Oz wine is really starting to annoy. All ads that end with the sound of two women giggling are bad ones. Oh that ad for Paddy Power (?) (strip poker with Gran) is the pits.

    Mike.

I used to hear these dam ads when they were not broadcasting, haunted me for years. I used to hum them without knowing until someone told me to shut it

What gets up my olfactory passages is the ad that finishes "because we're Irish". It should, of course, say "because we've been robbing you for longer".

I won't be buying any Snickers bars while that ad with yer man telling his boss he wants to drop his pants is running.

Its up there near the top of the league table of annoying ads just below Apache Pizza.

Anyway Snickers tasted better when they were called Marathon bars.

    EDIT :

I've just found out the ad is for Snickers Workwear and not the chocolate and peanut concoction.

I still hate the ad though.

And I still think Marathon bars were nicer.

those lidl ads with the put on german accents and the grumpy woman are wrecking my head. Just because their a german chain doesnt mean they have to use german accents. dont hear tesco using brit accents.

Newstalk's new ad featuring Jedward! I think it's advertising Newstalk, but I'm not 100% sure.

    I don't think it's totally bad.
For some reason I have a mental image of the female German with the plaits from 'Allo 'Allo

Genuinely confusing ad. Is he saying he wants to repalce his work trousers with Snickers trousers or just drop his trousers for the lulz? How strange.

Helga! I find myself doing 'ze fallen Madonna vith ze big boobies' line every time I hear this ad. It's daft, but could have been more embarrassing if they'd gone the Fawlty Towers route.

Worst radio ads at the mo are the ones for Unislim Yums or something like that-loud beeps down the radio and some eejit saying "yum, yummy, yummiest" doesn't make me want to buy ur product,it makes me hate the brand.the other annoying one is Apache pizza happy days. And the pat short 222222 wreck the head!

I can't remember what the advert is for but I think it's something to do with building extensions or conservatories. Anyway the company is based in Swords so they feel the need to give the people in the ad strong skanger accents. There's a woman and her old mother and it's the old mother that drives me mental. No idea wtf she is saying except at the end when she repeatedly asks "what's thah numbah?".

Also, new Eurocycles Eurobabies ad has become annoying. Yes it is "less irritating" but that's like saying kidney stones are less painful than castration.

......starring Shadden and her ma, yet another crime against radio ads from Nova.

Like the one for the restaurant, with the wooden acting, that starts with "Goiys, goiys guess where we're going?.......wow that's mad...."

Oh yeah, hate that one. "Wow so I can pay money to cook food myself? Awesome!". The voice acting is so horrible you'd have to think that if they randomly got people on the street to do it it would make a better ad.

Nah, I think this is the least awful one so far. It's much easier to zone out and ignore it than with previous ads.

There is an ad for some kind of workwear product where a subordinate is talking to his boss about he has been there for a while and wants to drop his pants (no, I don't get it either). The script, acting and accents are so awkward and unnatural that it's very hard to listen to without wanting to pull your ears off.

However that no nonsense series of ads really grind my gears, that damn voice she is soooooo annoying

Do you think that they have specifically employed the services of Sh*te and McSh*te,advertising agency, where we specialise in adverts that make people want to kill??

It really does my head,it's worse than the last one, which to be fair, was sh*te as well.

    At least they're consistent :D

When that 11890 ad first came out the langer bit wasn't beeped, but it has been for the last couple of weeks. Does anyone know why? Were there complaints about it or something? Seems a bit bizarre.

People from cork complained becuase they thought it was a rude word even though the bci approved it . Just been on email bag on ray darcy

I hate the way they have the over-acted Cork accent on that 11890 ad, as a Corkman it grates me every time I hear it..

There's also an ad on Newstalk, I'm not sure what it's for, but it bugs me.

The ad starts with "And on this, the last count, I deem [COMPANY X] the best...". What annoys me is that if this company is the best in it's field, why would they be elected on the last count? Wouldn't you imagine they'd meet the quota on count 1?

I think it's for the Alzheimers charity, there's 2 of them: this one and one with a son talking to his father on the phone - I agree I find them very unsettling - effective though so I suppose that's the point.

There’s an ad for some Vodafone product on at the moment that seems to be just a list of random buzzwords and phrases.

    Gates – Craftsmanship
    Forest – Woody
    Basement – Shadows

    It’s extremely annoying.

The best ad on the radio are the ones for non-nonsence.ie insurance. They’re properly witty.

I know it's been comprehensively covered but can I "+1" sentiments on that stupid 11890 ad. As one of the "wily women of Ireland", I can honestly say I will never switch from 11811. Not as long as 11890 keep running these stupid ads.

"Its time to bring back the roar"

I have no idea what this ad is trying to sell me as I always switch off (mentally) when I hear it.

I heard someone on Newstalk's Lunchtime with Whoever programme saying its purpose was to encourage people to support the Irish Rugby team in Lansdowne Road.

He said something about fans being able to send their 'roar' via the internet to the Irish team and the best ones will be played to the team before the match at the weekend. WTF .

No wonder the poor lads are so indiciplined on the pitch. :(

Anyway its an awful annoying ad.
