Tabula Rasa anyone ?

Anyone here going to be playing tabula rasa ?
if you got the pre launch bonus pack (5 euro of ncsoft) you cant start playing in the morning server opens around 8 am 3 days ahead of the retail version. So i think il be setting my alarm clock to get some of the tabula rasa going all day while im off college.

Anyone else going to be playing i wasnt in open beta so it will my first time playing 2moro shold be able to make my mind up with the 5 euro thing from ncsoft before i splurge on the box and a monthly sub.

i have the pre-order and ive been in beta since august, unfortunatly i cant afford to play till i come home from iceland next week, so i miss out on my 3 days before release

I got the pre-order as well so will be giving the game the once over. Still not sure if I can handle another MMORPG though they're too much of a time sink.

I found the beta pretty good the main things that put me off the beta was my machine at the time was rather under spec'ed and the idea of putting effort into a beta which just kept getting wiped.
I'm most likely going to get it and give it a go for a month or two and take it from there. I like the setting (getting tired of the elf and goblin etc in mmorpgs) plus since Garriot is involved is always a good thing. I'll be a casual player though power leveling is not for me.

I'd post an initial review but NC Soft have screwed the pooch not having enough servers in place to cope with the number of players so I cant get a decent connection (one that doesnt die within ten minutes).

(no, its not my connection, EQ2 and Guild Wars are both fine).

This game is so bland its not even funny...By the time you get to your late teens early 20's you'v basicly seen it all i wouldnt recomend this game if your looking for a mmo to hold your attention for a year or longer.
Run shoot "press C" run shoot... the skills are practicly pointless
bleh its good not the worst game out there but i got the distinct feeling at lvl 10 of meh played to 20 then just bleh ... its bleh !

I had exactly the same experience in the beta ^^

Only lasted till level 8.

No discernible PvP from what I saw of my friend in the beta, makes me just want to pass.

I just picked the game up last week. Played it a few times in the last few days. I like it as a game, pretty much standard grind and quest to progress.

I like the idea of different weapons doing different damage. I'm sure that will play a bigger part as the game gets more difficult.

I also like the character progression, the first few levels are generic 'grunts', after that you follow a tiered progression path starting with the soldier or specialist option. The real difference to other games here is the option to clone your character to play the other class without grinding up a new char.

I'm not a big fan of PvP so that doesn't bother me. There is a lag issue at the moment but that's common with all new MMORPGs, LOTRO, DDO all had similiar teething problems.

There is certainly a lack of servers for EU players (as in only one) but we do have access (currently) to the US servers. It would certainly be advantageous to split the EU server into at least German and English speaking versions.

The UI is good, not the best I've played but better than many once you get used it. Storyline it looks ok and graphically its fine. I've dabbled in a lot of MMORPGS over the last few years and still keep going back to the first one I played, EVE. But I'll keep this account open for at least the first 2 months (paid for).

The lag issue is so bad that I am going to cancel my account and go back to playing KOTOR.

Very dissapointed. If only Neocron 2 hadnt been so damn ugly!
