Is there any point of the government holding on to their 25% shares anymore? Aer Lingus is now privatised, the company makes business decisions to make a profit, just like any other airline.

At the end of the day its not the national airline anymore. The government do not seem to have any massive influence even with its 25%, so is it time they sold the shares?

Maybe they just want to keep them for now to stop a Ryanair takeover.
