Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Anybody know of any software that will log to a logfile who logs onto one of twenty PC's and when?

This is built into windows, check the eventvwr security logs.
If you want to log it all centrally, you should probably have a domain controller or other central PC managing logins

Yeah I know that but it's very time consuming logging onto 20 PC's and checking the eventviewer, I was wondering is there any piece of software that can log to central location.

If you are a domain admin you can do it from any machine you are logged into. Just open computer management and right click to connect to another machine..

As for centrally located, its possible using WMI.. but require some scripting to do it

Well if it's a domain, you can add a single-line command to a batch script and insert it as the log on script. It's an easy one - Cap'n Midnight posted it recently.

Of course it serves little purpose when everyone just shares their passwords as if they were chewing gum. Want one?

If you don't have a server to run a logon script then make a one line batch file, save somewhere and have a link to it , put the link in startup in all users and run minimised
    Echo %username% %date% %time% >> \\server\share\%computername%.txt

of course you need a server with a share on it that all the PC's can write to
and users can edit the text files
