Whole house water filter?

Hi, As anyone living in Balbriggan knows the water is hard out here? I want to get one of those limescale filters that can be fitted under the sink but can't find them anywhere. does anyone in the area have one fitted? If so can they recommend a make/model. Thanks in advance
