Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I recently installed idrives free software. I have just uninstalled it but whe I right click on a file the idrive context menu is still there.

I have tried going to the registry to delete the idrive entry from

    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT / * / SHELLEX / ContextMenuHandlers

but there is no entry for idrive..

Is there another way I can remove this? Is there a small utility for doing it?

Also, I have tried re-installing the software and using uninstall.exe to remove..problem persists..

    Any takers?

    Thanks

Did you try a system restore?

No, I hadn't even thaught of that. I don't really believe in system restore..I prefer to solve the problem myself..keeps me on my toes with XP. I only ever resort to restore if the promlem is major and I can't resolve it myself..

    Thanks anyway..

Have you tried searching the registry for the text that appears in the context menu for that application?

I seemed to vaguely remember seeing something that would do what you asked, Googled it, and included the link, but after installing it myself I wasn't sure whether that was the program I remembered ... does that make sense? It missed a good number of shell extensions that were certainly on my system and which I could find easily just using regedit, so I uninstalled it and deleted the link.

As another thought, have you tried installing it while using a registry monitoring tool like Process Monitor http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/utilities/processmonitor.mspx to see what it writes to the registry?

    Here you go http://www.bartdart.com/
Just scroll down the page to Context Menu Editor.
This freeware utility woked for me.
