Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

DVD player has PAL/NTSC/AUTO option, but only allows R2's

My DVD player (Panasonic SC-HT540) has a menu option for PAL, NTSC, and Auto. Yet, it will only play Region 2's, even with NTSC or Auto selected. I can't get any cracks on the web that work (short of a dodgy 'rental' of a remote control from multiregionupgrades).

Does anyone have any clues for me as to why it won't play NTSC Region 1 discs? As a comparison, our 3 year old Alba player plays them using the 'Auto' option.

    Seanie.

you can get NTSC region 2 discs. that machine can play only region 2, but PAL & NTSC.

as far as i know, Japan is region 2 NTSC. and some region free discs may be ntsc.

yeah the panasonic home systems need one of those rental remotes to unlock.
