Howye. I know I'm opening myself up to ridicule here, but a mate of mine has offered me his '00 ET-2 scooter. It hasn't been turned over for ages so I'dlike some pointers on getting it roadworthy again.
    Thanks

I assume this is a normal 50cc scooter? I would change the spark plug and replace the petrol and the oil. Battery probably needs replacing too. That should get it going again IMO.

I'd also change the tyres (could have cracked and be in very poor condition if the scooter has been sitting too long) and check the brakes.

Or you can just bring it to a garage and get a full service done. This way you'll know the scooter is safe to ride and all the parts are doing what they should.

Thanks Steffano. I reckon I'll get a full service done once I get it started.

That's by far the best thing to do IMO! Let us know how you get on! :)
