Looking for the "Wow Factor" Irish Web Design Company

    Hello,

My business will be starting in the next 6-8 weeks and I am fully aware of the importance of a web presence. I am looking for a company to design an impressive website (new ideas) but with little content. That is the website is more of a portal to point people to our physical premises and inform them about our goods.

I am thinking 4-5 pages with a location map but am willing to pay for the impressive factor... can anyone recommend a company...(need to see a portfolio before committing) and also I would really like it to be an Irish Company.

    Any suggestions would be great.

    Thanks So much
    Granty

You may want to post this over in the web design forum. As suggestions for companies/designers to do the work, you should have a look at www.vitalspark.ie, www.edenweb.ie, www.themenace.com... that's all i can think of at the moment!

It would be advisable to engage the same company who will design / brand your shop and your website. That way you can be assured that that the image you want will carry across both mediums. I would suggest eBow - http://www.ebow.ie/. I know these guys and you can be assured that they will do a good job.

Cheers Forb! Actually, you can add forbairt to that list as well - www.forbairtmedia.com is it?

@stepbar: not necessarily. A decent web designer understands corporate identities and once they have the rules and existing marketing, can continue the brand onto the website. I've seen it too many times where graphic design companies try to sell their web design services as an added service. They're mainly in the graphic design for print and don't specialise in web design. Graphic Design and Web Design are completely different. If you want a decent website, get a team that can provide that full service. Just wanted to make the point that it is not always better to have the same team for print as you do for web - it's a different mindset!

After saying all that, I believe ebow have both a graphic and web team, and would be no harm talking to them. I know one of the PM's over there and she's brilliant at what she does.

    Best regards,

    Dave
