Moving to Dundalk. Where is good and bad?

Looks like we will need to move to Dundalk for new job in the new year. Where is good to live and were is not so nice? Really need help as I dont know anyone who lives there. Hubby will be working in the Dundalk Retail if that is any help?? Thanks:)

No need to post there, but if your husband is working in Dundalk Retail Park you should be looking around the college but stay well clear of Muirhevna Mor.

Anything on the Dublin Road should be ok or even Blackrock but that is a bit expensive.

I wouldnt go near rockfield court, college heights and manor as all are full of students

agreed

rockfield has nice houses but is full of students so you'll be kept awake every monday and thursday night.

i would reccommend a look at blackrock or the housing estates surrounding it, expensive but worth it if you can afford.

there is also alot of housing to the rear area of the retail park

I know someone that lives in the place behind the horse track and it's fairly cheap and nice and quiet.

Yeah, it's nice at the track alright, you'd need to be driving or not mind a trip into town on a bycycle though.
