Car alarm problem - any ideas?

Hi, I have a problem with the wife's car alarm. It's a 2004 Zafira and the alarm keeps going off every 15 mins or so, only had this problem since yesterday. I have read through the book of wisdom that comes with the car and it just says to check that all doors & windows are closed before arming the alarm (done that)…

Hi,

I have a problem with the wife's car alarm. It's a 2004 Zafira and the alarm keeps going off every 15 mins or so, only had this problem since yesterday.

I have read through the book of wisdom that comes with the car and it just says to check that all doors & windows are closed before arming the alarm (done that) failing that, take it to a main dealer for a diagnostic check (surprise surprise :rolleyes: )

So, before I sell one of my kidneys to afford a trip to a main Opel dealer, anyone have any suggestions as to what may be causing the problem?

Is it a factory fitted (Opel) alarm or just one fitted when the car was bought?
