    There was no porter available to push a patient to the operating theatre in the mid west regional hospital. There are 53 porters employed in the hospital, 11 of them were out sick (20% of them). The minister is using this ammunition for all its worth to deflect blame from the HSE for the cut backs, well done porters!

    Why not blame the person responsible for the whole mess instead of a few people at the bottom who have no control over the situation? You know the people who just got a huge pay rise
