    I have a budget of max €300...

Looking for something that can display at least 1,600 x 1200 and has a decent refresh rate, doesnt have to have super features just something that looks nice and is under €300 with at least 2 years warranty, black would be nice too...

Would love to get a 24" one at that price, highly doubt it though...

Been looking at overclockersuk, anyone dealt with them?

    Whats shipping cost?

Been looking at these, what do you think?

Overclockers UK are great, never had a problem with them.

Shipping for monitors was €22 if I remember correctly.

Incredible looking monitor Dave, price is a bit high but full hd,3 year warranty,xbox360/ps3 connectivity(hdmi I gather?)...

I see alot of the reviewers on about its 1920x1200 native res,is it stuck at that res or can I change it to something lower like 1024x768 which I will need for crysis :D

Is 24" a bit too big for internet, word and such?

Its almost twice the price too for a 2" size difference,do you know if this monitor is available in 22"

If you like bigger pixels then this is what you want, they both have 1600x1050

    http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-050-SA&groupid=703&catid=17&subcat=949

They have a 5ms for little less and they are selling on komplett for 299.

Gaming in 1900x1200 takes lots of GPU power, so if you are a gamer on budget avoid the 24"

Is it stuck on 1900x1200,can you not change the screen res to something lower like 1024x1768 for the newer games?

I have an xps 710 with a 8800gtx and Quad Core, but even that will struggle to play Crysis at that Res....

Was going to buy that monitor this evening,if its stuck on 1900x1200,then I wont bother

LCDs all have a native resolution. If you run them at a lower res they have to scale the image which will make it look blocky. That said, anything you buy in the range you're talking about is probably going to have a native of at least 1600x1200.

    Thanks Zab

    How Blocky?

1280x1024 is my usual res for games,Crysis etc wont be playable past this,so will there be a huge difference in the blockyness of the graphics between the scale down of 1650x1050 and 1900x1200 res with regard to pc games?

Does anyone know how much Overlockers charge for delivery to Eire? (i couldnt see delivery rates on their site)

There's no real answer to that Squall. Some people have a huge problem with it, others don't even notice. Certainly it's much less noticeable in a game than with text or something static. Anti-aliasing obviously helps too, and your high-end graphics card will do that well. You're probably only worried about games as you'll run everything else at native.

I'd guess that "most" people wouldn't notice in a game, but if you're worried you'll have to have a look at somebody else's setup.

I'd say I would notice lol...
