Is it possible to get African Pygmy Hedgehogs in Ireland?

I would really like to keep one as a pet (they're bread for captivity).

And if they are available does anyone have an idea of price?

    Thanks a million.

    More promotion?

I don't follow follow you, and I have googled, first result is a youtube video about hedgehogs and the others seem to only concern UK.

I don't see what's so wrong with my question.

Not sure if there are pygmy hogs here - I used to keep long eared hogs & also has a black masked one as well.

If I hear of any in Ireland I will let you know.

    Are they good as pets?

Recently my cat passed away :(

So I wanted to get a new pet and I have always been interested in hedgehogs, although I thought the pygmy hogs were the only ones you could have as house pets?

Rusty the black masked was a tad grumpy & would bite if he could - long eared hogs are shyer - I would like to get a pair of pygmies one day - would love an apricot these are around the £150 - 200 mark each thats pounds not euro.

Would love to have them as a pet, I stumbled across an excellant UK website a few months ago.

I wonder would they attract ticks and fleas the same way wild hedgehogs do?.

They can do yep - obviously they can be bathed carefully & I know you can use ivomectin to kill fleas on the hogs etc.
