Many moons ago I found myself mixed in with a bunch of fellers who used to hang around the old DNC net cafe. Somehow that led me to boards, though the exact means by which I arrived have since been forgotten.

I had an account that fell into disuse, which I opened when I was in college in October 01.

There are only ten posts on it...

So I knew about it from then.

This account came into being when I was between jobs in early 04.

Recommended to me by a friend (and fellow member), had an accout since 02 but never used it. Only really got back into it last year when I opened a new account with this name after I forgot my password (the accounts are now merged hence my join date). Only really started posting to get involved in the Boards soccer team so it just took off from there.

I joined years ago, before broadband was available here. It was when Europe Online was doing the one way Satellite thing. There were lots of threads on it here so i have been here ever since.

Actually i miss the Europe online thing, when it was first going i would leave my PC on and come home to find 20gb or more of whatever everyone else in europe requested to be pushed via Satellite. A lot of crap porn but i also got lots of movies and games etc.

I'd heard about boards for a while, but wasn't arsed to look at it...after regular mentions on foot.ie, I investigated and I've upgraded to a semi-regular visitor to these shores. You all seem a reasonable bunch....overall:D
