domains - dropclub / backorders

hi, how does the backorder system work ? suppose personA forgets to renew a domain - and it goes into pending deletion - do i get to snap up that domain then - or do they still have a chance to re register it ? tnx

Under normal circumstances the original registrant would have up to 45 days to renew the domain:
