    Hi,
I believe Eircom use a different distributed name servers using a Root zone file, for DNS resolving. How do they configure there DNS servers to do that.

Most company DNS server have a forwarder to an ISP to lookup an DNS query. How would Eircom configure their DNS server ?

    cheers
    Graham

I would assume they have their own replicated DNS servers, which update from another ISP or from the roots themselves. Why are you asking? If you need this info ask Eircom, although I think they would be a little suspicious as to why you are asking.
