stock tube

    does anyone know the following

    if i have a 6 position stock on an m4 and want to put a clubfoot stock, crane stock or a magpul stock for example do i need to replace the stock tube that it hooks on as well or are they all standard sizes...

    i am not so interested about running the batteries to the crane or clubfoot.
