If the two big ones are red and White painted Helicopters then they are Irish Coast Guard Sikorsky S61N Search And Rescue Helicopters but if they are Green then they are Irish Air Corps Troop Transport AW139 Helicopters.

Far from it, the Gardai Choppers are very expensive as is the Gardai Fixed Wing Surveillance Aircraft , what with all the Surveillance Equipment they have.

Does anyone know why they were out and about? It'd want to be something serious to get that many up in the air.

The armed convoys just arent quick enough anymore for Mary Harney(I believe she was quoted as saying, "you call THIS 'fast food' "?!?!?!), so she's putting her salary increase to good use and airlifting her lunch. Is there a McDonald's in Finglas?

No Gracehopper! You have much to learn in the way of the boards.ie:)

Nope, biko, a Black Belt in finding (mainly) Dublin threads in AH and reporting them for moving to the appropriate forum! In fairness to him, he's almost always right about these things! :)

EDIT: Actually, the picture in his current sig is quite appropriate to the tone of this post :D
