    Hi,

My nephew is 15. What can I get him for under 30Euros?

I expect to receive lots of suggests along the lines of porn, strippers, drink.... but seriously, what can I actually get him?

I usually give him money, but so does everyone else.... so he never gets the 'present under the tree' fuss. Seems a little unfair.

So ... all good ideas appreciated!

Ask his parents do they know of any CD's or DVD's he would like. Either way talk to his parents and find out what his interests are at this time, and then work from there.

    Good suggestions- only 1 problem

Parents divorced and he lives with my sister-in-law. Very acrimonious break-up. (She doesn't have any contact with us)

My brother doesn't know what to get him either.

I could make a stab at CD or DVD I guess.

15 is a bad age to be at, too old for the toys and too young for hte really cool stuff :D

CD/DVD is always a bad one to go down especially when you dont know his tastes and what he doesnt have/has already.

Personally around that age I was mad into little gadgets and "cool" doohickeys. I think most guys that age are.

Take a look at www.iwantoneofthose.com (filter by price range) and maybe http://www.dealextreme.com (havest used these guys personally but seen them recomended on the BA forum).

Be the cool uncle this year, give him some gadget his friends wont have :D

Instead of the games, dvds, cds what about apparel i.e.: is he into rugby, football?? There is a fab lifestyle sports shop that opened up in the Blanchardstown Retail Centre - just down from Smiths & Tk Maxx. You can get stuff there for approx €30, rugby ball, t-shirt etc.

    Worth a try...

He's not at all into sports. I know he plays in bands and loves music, but usually gifts along these lines are out of my budget. Hes a little emo / goth kid as well I think (but he'd kill me if I 'labelled' him! haha)

Posted this suggestion in another thread... I'm thirty something but have the mental disposition of a 12 year old - I want a remote controlled helicopter for Chrimbo! A remote controlled gadget is always fun and you can spend anything from 15 yoyo to 1500 on something!
