Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ugh another one of these games. Last one served no purpose at all except to bore the arse off anyone who went.

nice to see dan and garto get some recognition. both have been great this season dan still isnt the best for those with dodgy hearts but is a top class shot stopper and gartland is a top class centre half both really deserve it.

suprised brian shelley didnt get a shout he has been the best player in the EL this season.

Gartland is class, but Dan Connor is an accident waiting to happen. He shouldn't be in the Drogs team, let alone the Ireland B. Agree about Shelley

considering Folan has got a call up, it does surprise me that we won't even take a look at Trundle.

I'm stunned Trundle has been overlooked, he is in insane form.

He is a far better player than anyone on that list, yes, even your beloved Weso.

Lot of people said last year's game was a waste of time too. Then several of that team went on to win senior caps in the next 12 months.

seriously out of that team, who is going to go and do well for the first team?

Realistically Colin Doyle, Kevin Foley, Jay Tabb, Wes Hoolahan and Mark Yeates all have a chance imo.

Weso > Trundle any day of the week.

Not as a result of that game though, every player bar Hunt and possibly Gibson were atrocious. Worst game of "professional" football I have ever attended.

nice hat trick for jon walters for ipswich yesterday.
himself, clarke, garvan and lee seem to be running the show at portman road.
6-0 against bristol city who are riding high.

And then there's Alex Bruce at the back and Shane Supple no.2 keeper (atm). :)

I don't want to sound too much like a broken record :D

but glenn and wednesday did have an excellent weekend, 2 goals for himself and 5 for wednesday against southampton.

ipswich - the new sunderland. incidently they still have george o callaghan on the books eirebhoy, but he is out on loan.

Well if you want to look at it another way, most people called the squad before the summer friendlies a joke.
The same people were all disappointed when the successes of those games, O'Halloran and Potter were left out of subsequent squads. These games are only a joke if you treat them as one, if you treat them as a way of the management team to assess up and coming players then they're quite useful. Why else was the B international brought back? Scotland used their "Future Squad" games to bring through some of the team that beat France twice.
