Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Anyone tried tesco data bundles? With iphone?

I'm getting an iphone next week, and I also want to buy a new prepaid sim card .

I'd hope to be able to use gprs to occasionally check emails, but with meteor, o2 and vodafone it looks like it will costs between €5 and €10 per MB, which is way too much. Vodafone have a cheap 50MB for €1/day, but it only works on their own portal. Tesco's new service has a data bundle that lasts one week and costs €4 for 20 MB which is more reasonable for occasional use.

Has anyone tried using this Tesco bundle? If anyone's got it working on an iphone I'd be curious to hear about it.

    Any advice appreciated,

    Neil

    Very interesting.
Was thinking of going back to 3 but if this can be combined with a reasonable voice rate I might give them a try.

I'm not sure if this would work. Tesco's deal is not so much a "data bundle" but a "WAP bundle". If the iPhone browser works over WAP it should work fine; if it requires a regluar Internet connection it won't work though.

Yes but it must go through the vf live portal (live.vodafone.com) with the appropriate settings which for some reason don't work on iPhones including mine. In fact not even the regular data portal (isp.vodafone.ie) would work either so I just switched to o2 which, unlike vodafone, actually has an edge network which the iPhone runs on. O2 now have a 10GB package for billpay- i hope they introduce good data bundles for speakeasy too.
