Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hey just wondering what do I need to transfer a file I have on my laptop to my pc.

I downloaded the demo of crysis which is nearly 2gb on my laptop which had access to a broadband connection. But I want to put it on my pc. My usb stick is too small. I dont have any blank dvd cds so is there any way of chopping the file up or anything like that?

you could connect the laptop to the desktop using a crossover network cable and transfer it using shared folders. Alternatively if the laptop has a DVD burner, then burn it to DVD.

Get yerself a bluetooth dongle for pc (assuming lappy has bluetooth). Its great for transfering files & you can use it for files from your fone also or run a bluetooth printer. Less than 30e in argos. I can leave fone in van outside & can browse thru folders with pc . Not super fast transfer, but very effective. Best little gadget i've bought :D

Yeah most good archive/compression tools will let you do that. (winzip/winrar/7zip/etc.)
Take your file, add it to a 'new archive'... set it to split at 256MB (or whatever your usb stick can handle)... have a poke around in whatever program, you'll find the option in there.

    Hi guys,
Not really much of a techno but I am having a problem transferring music files from from my Bluetooth enabled Dell laptop to my Nokia 6234 mobile. It was working very well but it has now coming up file transfer failure despite it initially starting to transfer the file.I have a 2 GB micro SD card in the phone and there is 700 MB used.As a result I used an adaptor to put the SD card into the laptop but this means of file transfer has become problematic with an error message 0 80070052 coming up,showing that it is not possible to create a file.I have checked out my laptop bluetooth and it is functional,I tried resetting the phone to no avail. My mates phones are not recognising my phone and vice versa. However my phone is fully functional in my car and on the sat nav.Any ideas?
    Ta,
    Selig
