help needed with new co2 emissions tax

was just wondering about this new co2 tax coming in on cars. i'm thinking bout buying a commerical 4x4 but want to know will this tax affect them first or do they still fall under the commercial tax bracket? cant find any answers anywhere online thanx:)

There wont be anything released until the Government announce there plans in the annual budget.

I would refer to how the UK now rate there taxing and VRT as they recently changed it to be based on C02 emissions. We seem to always follow suit from the UK.
