    Hi lads, how do i go about getting a deer licence ?

    Get a letter from a land owner, dated currently, with land owners contact number, including the folio/s number/s and address of the land/s, permitting you to shoot deer on it.
    The land needs to actually have deer on it though.
    Then fill out this form: http://www.npws.ie/media/Media,3684,en.pdf
    Attach your letter/s of permission and send it off!

    Currently waiting on my first permit myself!

    Got my first permit this year. It might be a good idea to find out who your local ranger is and give him/her a call. My local guy was very helpfull and patient I must say.That the way I did it and then sending in the paperwork was just a formality.;)
