Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    does anyone have one of these shiny little things??

    i have been unable to find out if this one has an optical port in it to hook into a ps3 to give 5.1 surround sound??

    my hdtv has only 1 hdmi port and thus its being used via the ps3 hdmi connection thus im wondering if it has the proper optical port for the surround sound audio?

    it doesnt have it , specs here

    Connections
    Connector Type 1 x USB ( 4 PIN USB Type A )
    1 x composite video output ( RCA phono )
    1 x component video output ( RCA phono x 3 )
    Audio line-in ( RCA phono x 2 )
    1 x SCART ( 21 PIN SCART )
    1 x HDMI output ( 19 pin HDMI Type A )
    1 x SPDIF output ( TOS Link )

    you could use the red and white cable but you wont get tru 5.1

    maybe a HDMI splitter would work

    isnt the SPDIF output the optical port, im fairly certain it is as they are known as toslinks aswell....

    was looking at it today and it does seem to have Optical, but the sales guy said it won't play DVD+r or DVD-R, can anyone confirm either way?

    yes, but it is a optical OUTput so you cant put something IN to that socket

    I also want to get one, but i'm not sure about the optical in. I'd like it for my xbox but its not essential. I read one review that said it has an optical input though, here:

    Just FYI, I have an ht-x30. It does have an optical INput.

    Late response i know but i have one of these, it does play both of those on mine, dunno where your man got his info from!

    Sorry to drag this up from the grave but it's a nice price on Komplett at the moment and I'd like to get it providing it has an optical INput.

    Do you just plug the optical into the optical out and it switches over type of affair? Can this be confirmed pretty pretty please once more?
